EXTRA-C: Extraordinary Citizens
EXTRA-C is on a mission to give people with intellectual disabilities a voice in democracy.

CHALLENGE

By harnessing the power of youth work and non-formal education, the Extraordinary Citizens project is designed to empower people with intellectual disabilities and enable them to actively engage in democratic processes
Young people with learning disabilities, be it intellectual, psychosocial, or developmental, often find themselves excluded from significant political, economic, cultural, and social processes due to the barriers they encounter. To ensure their voices are heard, it is crucial to overcome these challenges and establish an environment that facilitates their active participation in social and democratic life.
