SKILLS – Shaping Keys for Independent Living Solutions
The SKILLS project will promote the training of professionals in the disability sector to empower individuals with disabilities with e-skills for independence and employment.
Operated by: KMOP Education & Innovation Hub

CHALLENGE

To effectively adapt to the digitalisation of various aspects of life, such as work, social interactions, and communication, individuals with disabilities require appropriate and specialised training. The prevailing trend of digitising content frequently results in the creation of incomplete, unverified, and inaccessible materials, making it difficult for people with disabilities to transition towards self-reliance and independent living. In our view, it is crucial to prioritise the training of professionals who assist individuals with disabilities in their journey towards autonomy and independent living, as this forms the foundation for the overall process

Moreover, this output provides guidelines to training providers to assist them in integrating the learning units into their existing courses, enhancing the quality and relevance of their training offerings.
