Civic Engagement and Governance
We believe that strong civic engagement is essential for vibrant, inclusive societies. Everyone -regardless of background- should feel empowered to shape their community and public life. At KMOP, we create opportunities for meaningful participation, foster inclusive public spaces, and ensure that diverse voices are heard in dialogue and decision-making.
We also strengthen civic life against growing challenges like polarisation, disinformation, and extremism. Through media literacy, education, and open conversations, we support critical thinking and build trust across communities. Our initiatives -from volunteering and dialogue to local projects and service learning- bring people together in meaningful ways. We place special emphasis on equipping young people with the skills and confidence to engage, participate, and lead.

Democratic infrastructure and civic space
Supporting open public dialogue, inclusive participation, safe spaces for debate — including at the EU level — and stronger civil society organisations.
Youth civic
empowerment
Helping young people become active citizens by developing leadership skills, encouraging critical thinking, and making sure youth — including those with disabilities — can participate meaningfully in civic life and initiatives like the European Youth Goals.
Community-rooted participation
Encouraging local youth initiatives, volunteering that brings people together, and service learning in schools to connect education with real-world civic engagement.
