FOCUS AREA
Migration
Migration shapes societies in complex and evolving ways, influencing communities, economies, and public systems. At KMOP, we study these dynamics while contributing to inclusive practices that promote social cohesion. We aim to understand root causes, support migrant wellbeing, and strengthen institutional responses. Our work contributes to building communities where all individuals -regardless of background- can access rights, participate meaningfully, and thrive with dignity over the long term.
Our work combines research, policy dialogue, and field-based initiatives that explore how migration intersects with education, employment, and community life. We examine integration pathways, labour market access, and social participation of migrants - particularly vulnerable groups like children and women. Through partnerships with local actors and transnational networks, we generate actionable insights and develop context-responsive solutions that promote inclusive societies grounded in dignity, equality, and shared responsibility.
OUR WORK FOCUSES ON THREE KEY AREAS
Inclusive Education & Family Support
We design and adapt inclusive schooling approaches, early education pathways, and civic orientation tools for migrant children and families.
Fair Work & Anti-Exploitation
We explore and support fair labour practices by promoting legal employment, peer mentoring, and trafficking prevention in key economic sectors.
Community Ties & Belonging
We engage migrant voices in civic life, strengthen solidarity networks, and foster migrant women’s entrepreneurship as a pathway to integration.
