SOCIAL ACTION & INNOVATION CENTER

ABOUT US

Our History

Founded in 1977, KMOP stands as one of Greece’s oldest and most established civil society organizations, with a legacy rooted in direct social service provision and community-level action. What began as a response to urgent social needs in Greece has evolved into a sophisticated organization that bridges grassroots intervention with European policy influence.

As we look ahead, KMOP remains committed to the principles that have guided us since our founding: dignity, evidence-based practice, and social innovation. In an era of rapid technological transformation, demographic shifts, and evolving social needs, our nearly 50 years of experience position us to continue leading European efforts toward more inclusive, resilient, and equitable societies.
