OUR WORK

Research & Policy

We turn hands-on experience and research into strategies that inform policy, amplify impact, and scale change.

We believe that solid research and sound policy are vital to understanding challenges and creating effective responses. Our work combines methodological rigour with agility and purpose, producing timely and relevant insights that empower institutions, support communities, and inform public dialogue.

HOW WE WORK

STEP 1

Applied Social Research

We conduct qualitative and quantitative research to better understand emerging social issues and community needs.

Our toolbox includes interviews, focus groups, surveys, ethnographic work, statistical and econometric analyses, literature reviews, and quasi-experimental designs. We adapt our methods to each context, combining rigour with relevance.

Through participatory approaches, we ensure lived experiences are reflected in findings, which then guide service design, shape project delivery, and feed into broader policy recommendations.

STEP 2

Policy Analysis & Development

We examine existing policy landscapes, assess gaps, and develop forward-looking policy recommendations rooted in real-world needs.

Our team works closely with civil society actors, public institutions, EU and international networks to ensure coherence with strategic frameworks and promote equity, resilience, and sustainability.

By drawing directly from service delivery and project implementation, we generate policy proposals that are both practical and scalable—bridging the gap between community experience and systemic reform.

STEP 3

Measuring Social Change

We assess the social impact of programmes, strategies, and policies with a focus on meaningful outcomes for people and communities.

Drawing on KMOP’s long-standing fieldwork, project expertise, and policy engagement, we offer a distinctive perspective that combines deep community insight with robust analytical approaches.

Our evaluations go beyond metrics, using tools such as theory of change, outcome mapping, and comparative analysis to uncover what drives impact—especially in rapidly evolving sectors shaped by technology or political change and striving for greater societal relevance.
